Program and Curriculum

The Master of Business Analytics at MIT Sloan will prepare students to interpret data and to use data to drive decisions. This skill set can be applied across a broad range of industries including management consulting, financial services, technology, energy, healthcare, manufacturing, and more. The curriculum consists of five required fundamental subjects, one required Analytics Capstone project, one required project class, six three-hour modules, one pro-seminar, and a minimum of three focused electives. Further the Master of Business Analytics Program qualifies as a STEM – designated program, allowing international students to extend their training in the U.S. by 24 months after graduating.

The West Coast Trek is an opportunity for students to explore and understand the data science industry firsthand. By trip’s end, students leave with a clearer idea of the various career paths and working environments they can expect once they leave MIT Sloan. This week-long trek includes networking events with alumni and industry leaders, visits to companies from Seattle to Silicon Valley, and the opportunity to connect socially with peers.
