Imperial MiM Essays
Question 1: Your personal statement provides an opportunity to demonstrate your suitability for the programme. Typically your personal statement should be one side of A4 and include your motivations for applying to Imperial, and any other supporting information not included elsewhere on the form that you feel will enhance your application.
Question 2: In the career planning questions you will need to show you have thought about the type of employer you want to work for immediately after graduating and have researched your target organisation(s) and role. You will also need to demonstrate you have the necessary skills and experience to succeed in your chosen role. If planning to set up your own business, you will need to outline what expertise or product your business will deliver and that you have researched the market. Whilst we want our students to hit the ground running, we understand that you will also be looking to develop gaps in your skillset to prepare for your chosen career and you will need to address this in the career planning questions.
Short Question 3:All of Imperial programmes include some quantitative content and so it is useful for the selection committee to have an understanding of the level of your quantitative experience to date.
You will be asked to list up to five of the most quantitative courses you have covered in your studies to date, list the main topics included and the level of study (e.g. undergraduate degree, secondary school, short course etc).
